About
Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a few friends kept swapping screenshots of games we couldn't put down. At some point the recommendations got good enough that we figured other people might want them too, so we turned it into a proper site.
The idea is simple: nobody writes a review here without actually playing the game. We don't lean on press releases or trailers. If a game takes twenty hours to open up, we put in the twenty hours before we say anything about it.,We cover every genre on purpose. A good puzzle fan might still want to know which strategy game is worth a Sunday afternoon, so we try not to box ourselves in. Each game gets rated on how it actually feels in your hands — controls, pacing, how fair it is with your time.,We pick games from a mix of sources: reader suggestions, things trending on the stores, and small titles we stumble into. There's no fixed quota and no sponsor telling us what to feature. If we think something is worth your evening, we'll tell you why. If it isn't, we'll say that too.
